My storytelling is very much influenced by the runway.
— Lisa Marie

Lisa Marie Couture debuted their latest collection at The Rainier Club on November 5th in collaboration with celebrated stylist, entrepreneur, and Club Fellow Lisa Vann.  The 50 piece collection moves us through five stages of Lisa Marie's creative journey as she navigated life and business during the pandemic.

“I start the collection with Stillness, then move through Isolation, Loss, Silver Linings, and finally, Head In The Clouds where we all daydream together.  We created a movie that will be playing behind the runway with all the music and lighting.  Members of the press were invited.  We’re hosting a three-course dinner and giving a talk about the collection.  There’s hotels rented, plane tickets purchased, people thinking about what they’ll wear in attendance.  So everyone is already experiencing so much.  And this is only Part 1 of Dreaming Wide Awake.  Part 2 will be next spring and we’ll explore transformation, regeneration, creation, hope, vitality, strength—all of the optimism we have as we look toward the future.  So my storytelling is very much influenced by the runway.”

“This is really the culmination of over a year of dreaming and sketching for me with countless hours of sewing with my own hands. It really is like our Super Bowl.  It represents the very height of what we can do. The runway is truly fashion’s most glorious moment.  Where else can you see clothing come alive?”
