Business Checklist | Seattle Shutdowns Amid COVID-19 Outbreak
In the weeks leading up to the current proclamation by Washington State Governor Jay Inslee, fears of massive death tolls and dwindling resources began swirling throughout the 24/7 news cycle. Schools are being canceled. Businesses are being ordered to cease operations. And hospitals are preparing for the worst. While much remains unknown, including how the current pandemic of COVID-19 will resolve this season, there’s still plenty to consider within our own sphere on influence.
Below is a list of things to consider while our statewide restrictions are in effect. Most importantly, we all want to see this present crisis resolved as quickly as possible. And to that end, social distancing is critical. But while maintaining physical distance is encouraged, increasing digital interconnection is all the more necessary to strengthen the bonds of commerce and community.
If you feel any symptoms of fever, severe congestion and/or inability to breathe, call your doctor immediately for instructions and next steps. For those who do not experience symptoms, remain at home whenever possible. Remember, it’s only two weeks. Statewide restrictions are schedule to expire March 31st. The more we all do our part, the fewer people will be negatively impacted, and the sooner we can all move forward together.
